No actual triops
Followed kit instructions exactly. Hatched zero triops and just three fairy shrimp.Waste of time and money; disappointed kids; not worth it.

Awesome kit
Bought it for my grandson. He likes it. Three already grew big. Just have to separate the babies cause they will eat them. They eat all the time. Dont know what to feed them after food is gone...

False advertising
We fallowed the instructions and all of our eggs hatched and are doing well. However out of all of them we have one actual egg that hatched that was a tadpole shrimp and all the others were fairy shrimp. I was expecting to at least have too of what they said was in the box so we could have more eggs. Overall I think this is way over priced.

Hatched amazingly, but only one survived
My son got this for Christmas and we didn’t start it until mid March. The eggs hatched only a day later and we had about 15 tiny creatures swimming around. However, after a week we noticed that we had two types of sea creatures in the tank, and some morphed-hybrid half breeds. The other creatures looked like mites or some sort. Eventually we removed the sea creatures from the tank and got rid of the “mites” as they seemed to be overpopulating the tank, and might have been eating the actual sea creatures. At that point there were 3 normal creatures and 2 wonky hybrid creatures. After three weeks, only one survived. Its now early May, and it is still alive and well and has eaten up all the provided food. Now I’m online looking for something to feed the thing. We keep him in a quart mason jar with the provided rocks, under our fluorescent grow lights.

Not everything you need is in the box
Annoyed. Kid bought for herself. Outer package does not say what is included vs what you need to buy. She opened to find she needed distilled water, a heat lamp and thermometer plus the “tank” is little more than a shallow plastic dish. Returning it.

pretty good!
I think it's just great. I got it as a Christmas present, and it hatched. Everyone else say it doesn't hatch, but I think that it's too small. When they were born they are tiny white moving animals, and they like hiding, but they grow and become visible.
The thing I think is funny tho is that it says to crush the pellet, but it's like fish food... lol :)

Great pet project
I wanted to use this kit as a test before getting my kids a puppy. Taught them responsibility and how hard it is to take care of something!

These things are huge!
Very fun kit. It took about 2 weeks to hatch them and we needed a heat lamp but they are now huge. They have been alive for about 2 months. Only problem is that we are running out of food!
